I’m a coffee drinker. Addict is more like it. I can consume up to 5 mugs…MUGS…a day of brew on any given day. And I’m not picky. As long as I get some caffeine going in my system, I’m pretty much good to go.
This affliction started at a very early age. My Lola used to allow me to dip my cream cheese sandwiches in her cup of coffee to give it a sweet, bitter, and salty flavor. I absolutely loved it. Sometimes I would even have our helper make me a cup just for dunking my sandwiches. I wouldn’t drink it though. There was this belief going around that kids who drank coffee wouldn’t grow up. So no drinking.
The drinking came in at around college time. And it was because of a damn accounting course. It was my first class every Tuesday and Thursday. It was so boring that I would literally fall asleep in class. So to remedy this I learned how to drink coffee. And I started hardcore. Black as hell. No sugar. No cream. A habit I continue to enjoy today.
Today I like variety. I like instant. I like Starbucks….Tall Cafe Latte’ Nonfat No Syrup One Splenda! I like home grown Barako…especially when paired up with a grilled Ensaymada. And most of all, I like it freshly brewed in my 3 cup French press. Yum yum!!
So excuse me, I need to get myself a MUG.

Before purchasing my Iphone 4, I read that some users were very happy with its camera. Some went as far as saying that it was a back-up to their SLRs. I thought that it was taking it too far in terms of Iphone love.
So when I got my unit, one of the first things I did was to take pictures. This was one of the first that I took. Now I’m a believer!!

President Noynoy Aquino or simply PNoy is the Philippine’s main man and ,hopefully, the beacon of light that will lead our country out of the doldrums.
During his State of the Nation address, which I attended, he promised that he would put an end to corruption and will try to instigate reforms. This is, at the very least, what he can do for the adoring public that put him on a pedestal.
I am not going to be a judge on whether I think he can or cannot do what he aims to achieve. I will just hope that he delivers. As he gallantly proclaimed, “Pwede na uling mangarap.” (We can dream again.) I was one of those hoping that the Gods smile down on him and help him fulfill all the dreams he has for the Philippines.

The St. Dominic church or Sto. Domingo church in Macau is one of the many old churches that dot the island. Described as a Filipino baroque church, the edifice is a prominent structure in Macau’s famous Senado Square.
With its beautiful yellow facade, the church stands as a testament to Macau’s catholic history and further enhances the culture of the tiny island.

Growing up I managed to amass several BFFs (best friends forever). Back in grade school I used to have a new BFF every year while keeping my previous BFF.
BFFs are a godsend. They are your shoulder to cry on…your repository of secrets….and your go-to person when there was nobody else to go to. And sometimes your BFF could be the sibling you never had. Without a BFF life would definitely not be as colorful…and fulfilling.

When my neighbor’s house was burglarized twice in a span of a month, I took some necessary precautions to safeguard our home from the same occurence. Aside from fortifying our locks and bolts, we put in broken glass shards on the top of our common wall. Some may think of this method as useless. However, any form of deterrent is enough to stave off an attempting thief. Right. And its kinda pretty.
